What are good examples of products you’ve seen lately that don’t lack that focus on people?
According to my perception, we are in the Fancy era, with lots of beautiful and polished designs but lacking focus on people. I'm not saying you shouldn't care about the product's aesthetics. But don't forget that we build to solve problems in a brilliant way, for the people.
For me, an example that showcases the fancy trend in design is Huly.io. In fact, I like all of this, but one starts to think: was that really so important? It's a project along with the dashboard of almost 85 thousand dollars, according to the person who carried out the project.
I feel like that’s what design Twitter is turning into, seeing a lot more shiny vanity projects than cool ideas
Twitter is the paradise of vain and elegant projects; now they care more about making the button shine than whether its placement works for the user or the accessibility options they need to consider.
