Can anyone who's more familiar with Posts or been here longer explain what the vision for the product is long-term? Is it meant to be a Twitter "replacement" or a community for creatives (w/ a Twitter-like UI)? I guess basically... what are the ambitions of the founders?

We were wondering the same thing months ago. Many of the conversations are buried down there and currently not retrievable (there are pieces of the convo on Discord), but this page sums it up better.
