Ok dumb question bit why do you use this over, say, Pinterest?

I usually end up going the Miro route. Unless I’m actively designing something in which case I bring it directly into Figma next to the work.

tbh haven’t really thought of Miro more than a sticky notes / brainstorming tool. Might just pay a visit to Miro and see if that works! thanks, Alex.

ahah yeah it is great! at this point the only time i open pinterest tho is to find a haircut for me 🏃

Nothing beats Pinterest for me…been using it to curate mood-boards for work and personal interests

are.na is dope for finding stuff fs. i don’t looove that what i save are stacked as a grid. i kinda want like a canvas where i can move them around, group them, filter, label etc. 

Figjam does the job i think but I don’t think i can cross search multiple figjams tho. ty, Lauri.

I use FigJam for more project based stuff and still use Pinterest for more generic collections.

only using tags tbh. folders feel too restrictive to me.

what do y’all use for moodboards or “visual bookmarks”? i’ve been using milanote in the past but i kinda wanna try a something different. any suggestions?

🤘 No full moodboard capability, but definitely hits on your visual bookmark ask!

Hmmm, I could also see a Notion database being really powerful for this! Being able to save things from your phone seems like a crucial need and that would do the trick!

Have you ever thrown things into a Miro or Mural? I like it OK.

I just paste stuff in Figma… 🤷‍♂️

It‘s native and I don‘t have to work in boards but have a pool of everything that I can filter with tags.

Either Figma/Figjam or Are.na or a combination of these.

a shared iCloud Photos folder. Then I set my apple tv screensaver to the shared folder, and then the screen gently shifts thru images all day. It works great for memory recall and ambient inspiration

oh yeah I definitely do bring the inspo near the design when i’m designing but i’m looking for something where I can easily save screenshots, links and quickly find them or filter them by project, and label em etc.

Big fan of mymind to gather everything i find. From there i mostly take it over to figjam since all creative work happens in figma. Seamless workflow.

mymind is pretty cool. it was a bit confusing for me though. and i wish they had like a way to create moodboards like the last time i checked they didn’t have that capability. thanks tho!
