I always had fond memories of Foursquare in it's heyday. I liked becoming the "mayor" of places that i frequently visited. I guess you could game the system but it was kind of a fun crossover of IRL vs. URL at the time

Re-thinking being "online" imagine an app that lets you "in" only when you are at campus physically with your device.
