Freelancers, how did you get your first client? 🤔

Through a mentor I had while working on a personal project. She got me connected with a startup.

Honestly, I left a company and they contacted me a week later to help them out with some stuff.

Yeah it sounds dumb but I was quite scared to repeat myself and actively tell people. 🥲
