What is your opinion about avatars on social networks that are not the real photo of the person?

Oh no I meant.. on certain social networks, no avatar will give a certain strange vibe, like the person wants to stay anonymous on purpose. Do you know what I mean? As opposed to a place like posts where it might feel more playful maybe?

Hahaha, esse é o validador mais difícil. Como designer, o mais desafiador é fazer um branding para minha marca pessoal, quanto mais um branding da minha "cara".

presence on social media is a performance or act of curation of sorts, regardless of how much you choose to/choose not to share. not-you-avatars can be a cool way to construct a specific identity, so i think they have their place — at their best they can be creatively liberating

I think it depends on the social network, sometimes it gives off friendly vibes, sometimes it gives off creepy vibes 😝
