has anyone here made the switch from ios to android in the past couple of years? im finally doing it but i’d like to know about your favorite apps and how you replaced some of apples functionality
Coming at this from the other side - I think AirDrop is the one thing I would love to have (Nearby Share isn't as good or popular in my opinion). Nova Launcher, Authy, Resplash come to mind.
Thank you so much for the recommendations! I can’t even remember the last time I used airdrop so hopefully i won’t miss it too much. The thing I am dreading the most is the loss of imessage, but i’m sure i’ll live haha
Based on what I know, Telegram is on feature parity and all of my iOS friends are on there. Haven't seen anyone using iMessage outside of America but your mileage may vary :)
Yeah the whole green/blue bubble debacle is an American thing....but they don't realize it xD
yeah i’m outside of the us as well, and i feel like whatsapp is very common, though i’m not a huge fan of using meta. But my entire family is spread through out the world including the us, uses imessage a lot. But i’ll make them accommodate me as the only android user haha
If you have a Mac, you can set up airmessage.org/ or something. Or continue forcing your contacts to use cross-platform services like WA lol
