How do you feel about giving developers (with no design experience) access to the company Figma component library so they can crank out a mock-up?

I'm all for it. It's like being a chef and establishing a menu, then empowering the rest of your team to execute it. Or maybe not. Treat these mockups just like a wireframe/sketch, and use that to inform your design process. It's better than a pencil drawing of a UI.
