Google x Coursera gave me a great understanding of the fundamentals. I didn’t follow it religiously or do all of the projects, but it definitely helped.

thank you! this helps a lot! i jump started my career the traditional way by getting a BFA attending an art school but my friend doesn’t have that kind of luxury w time and money

Check out IDEO’s Design Thinking resources. They give some great insights on how designers can transform the way organizations develop products, services, processes, and strategy.

Going via BFA or B.Des is also a path but with the current market dynamics, it is better to get skilled & launch a career if one is not keen on going that way. If we see from my lens, even this is a traditional path as careers were launched this way before Degree->Job system came

There are lots of Bootcamps but I feel directly jumping into Bootcamp, learning skills and getting a job is not a good long-term solution. A better way is to pursue Design Education from IxDF and then opt for their Design League or some Bootcamp that suits one best.

I would highly recommend Interaction Design Foundation to begin with. Then for career-launch they also have Bootcamp but one can look for some programs like TryDesignLab which can help too. IxDF is great for education and building strong basics in the field of Design.
