Generally on board with the idea that "connected notes" are largely a waste of time and Apple Notes is 🐐. However, capacities.io is kinda nice. It's Roam's data layer coupled with Notion's aesthetics (though a touch more colorful).

Notetaking is personal so my assessment may not be yours—you should try them. Casey Newton wrote an article about both the allure and shortcomings of them. IMO the kind of results people want come from a more deliberate practice. Good in, good out. At least until AI comes around.
