Open Layouts took me a solid 2 days and 1 bottle of energy drink to: - Start working on the website end-to-end. - Wire interaction & motion design. - Build the open graphic library. - Gather all the resources. - Set up domain & metadata. - And finally to launch the beta version.
I'm so excited to soft launch my new platform today 🧵. Open Layouts (Beta) is a free open library of the most beautiful & sophisticated designs, including Figma files, Framer templates, and Webflow websites, all free! Feel free to check it out. ↓ openlayouts.co
Recently, some designers approached me and asked about my design resources, studies, and processes. This makes me reflect on my design journey, and I see a big part of it - is me learning from experienced designers, breaking down and studying their crafts.
By breaking down top designer's works, I learned their thinking and the process of how they did it. It forces myself to apply my new knowledge to optimize my processes, perfect my crafts, and deliver higher value from other's perspectives.
So with openlayouts.co, I want to encourage my fellow designers to learn from the top designers and companies in the world, pixel by pixel, layout by layout, to see how they did it and how you can do it too. And please let me know if there's anything I can improve! 🙏.
One more thing, I know that the Open Layouts library is still quite short stock today since it's still in beta. That's why I will hand-pick AT LEAST 10 NEW DESIGN FILES EVERYDAY. If you have any recommendations or issues, feel free to contact me via Twitter or my email.
