You can also ask about some of the early hit or misses and how they found (or trying to find) their PMF.

I like to know who me I’m answerable to, the metrics of individual success, and whom I’m directly working with.

When last job hunting, I liked to ask questions about the product, what we’d be working on, problems to solve. Fertile ground for interesting discussion, and gives you a sense of how they see things and what they are like to work with (and vice versa).

Their burn rate. How recently they just hired & how many people / what dept. What’s their next big project and why/when does it drop? What really sucks at the co right now ?

Having said that, I ended up with a job at an established product company so maybe you could take that with requisite amount of salt if you’re specifically looking for early startups.
