It’s cool and I’m curious about it, but something about it is too showy for me 😆

Same, looks like a gimmick. Until I learned it is 39 years old. And this stuck out to me “The idea is that the best position is always the next position. The body should dictate how it sits, not the chair.”

Love that and am super curious!

From the '80s to now: the timeless endurance of the HÅG Capisco chair
It was 1984, the era of Wham!, Thatcher, shoulder pads and luminescent Spandex. Across the North Sea in the Norwegian copper mining town of Røros, a jazz musician was about to change the philosophy of office work forever. His name was Peter Opsvik, and by the '80s he was already a world-renowne

Anything you dislike?

Johan Bakken

Actually no. I expected to dislike it in fact, but it really feels like a great chair that I can sit on for extended periods of time. Highly recommended.

I started using the capisco while recovering from a back injury 10 yrs ago. I’d never use another office chair.

I’m loving it so far

I’d highly recommend the ring foot rest if you are using it for a standing desk.

I spent some time in a small coworking space that has a few of them. A few days on one of those, and while they look and feel a bit weird at first, I think is the best “work chair” I ever tried. So much so that I’m thinking about buying one for my home studio now.

I am definitely looking to move more. I have a standing desk. And I can’t rest my elbows because I have nerve damage. I’ve been using a stool with a pad for months. This feels like the upgrade to that.

I am! Got it in 2020 to make lockdown a little more ergonomic. I really like it, the only complaint I have is that the little rests above the wheels will tear your toes apart if you accidentally kick it barefoot 😬

Fair complaint!

Are these for standing desks only? I'm in the market for a new chair and have been struggling with neck and lower back compression from bad sitting posture at my desk (which is not a standing desk)

Nah there’s all sorts of sizes, adapters, footrests, etc!

I am! For me, this is the only chair that works and doesn't cause pain in my neck.

Yeah, its really, really good. I used to have the one without a back to activate spine too.

Matt Wright

Yes! Found one on craigslist and have been loving it. It’s decreased my standing desk usage for what it’s worth… so many the Aeron was better in a way 😅

I have seen these so many times and I really want to try one - a bit out of my price range at current though ...
