I would love it if the different apps I use could know they are all part of a singular project and could organize themselves accordingly and could even propose different ways to keep things tidy.

When working between illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Keynote, C4D, After Effects and more there’s a lot of complexity in keeping assets current, finding the proper versions of things etc. I’d love a mechanical helping hand to help with this pile, not take the pencil from me.

Want to say more but too depressing today. It’s been dry for so long now. 6 months with erratic small jobs in between each month. Brutal.

Companies packaging AI as the *magic* pill to problems I don't currently need help solving. I'm not interested in giving a tool a prompt to design a landing page. That is not a problem. Templates solved that along time ago. Help with the basics, as you outlined, would save HOURS!

I've been using it to augment my work rather than replace it and I think that's how most ppl will use it for the foreseeable future.

Instead of AI being used to help with the ACTUAL drudgery of creative work (naming files, organization, different apps learning the where different file types should be saved, etc etc). These AI tools are replacing sketching, arguably one of the most energizing parts of the work.

I completely agree. AI often provides new skills to people who couldn't acquire them before, potentially allowing them to bypass the effort of learning and forming genuine opinions. This can result in a proliferation of superficial work.
