What you'll do: As a Senior Designer focusing on the design system, you will support the designer community in maximizing the potential of smart appliances for customers globally. You will ensure the system serves as an evolving, user-centered framework that empowers our product teams to create cohesive, robust digital experiences for our connected appliance user interfaces. You would be to help us combine software with hardware to create usable, meaningful, accessible experiences for global consumers. Work within a cross-functional product team in a digital experience organization that encompasses UX writing, UX research, and Design Systems. In detail, you will: Contribute to the design system enhancement, by supporting other product designers in their work and fostering a collaborative culture between teams. Deliver excellent product UI designs together with other teams, along with iterative updates, that delivers on the design system best practices and guidelines via prioritized backlog items, hypothesis and user stories Work with aligning the design system with the company's goals, driving efficiency and consistency across multiple product teams. Work with the structures, and quality of libraries, standards, guidelines, and documentation of the design system. Participate in conversations and workshops with stakeholders, users, and contributors to ensure system scalability and strong relationships. Support the design lead in design operation initiatives to ensure the design system ways of working are well integrated with product designers' workflows. Consider motion, sound and other sensory aspects of user experience, that has both purpose and style, to build interactions and brand expression Who you are: 5+ years of experience with digital product design, 2+ years in a design system team Solid experience in delivering design system assets, such as design tokens, components, guidelines and patterns Experience working with cross-functional teams and design systems to implement designs effectively Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, user research and agile development methodologies and can collaborate with Design, Research, Product and Engineering peers to solve problems Be communicative to effectively exchange information and ideas with confidence and respect, to engage in constructive design critique with designers and cross-disciplinary partners Proficient in design applications such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects and Principle Knowledge/familiarity with hardware as well as with embedded software development technologies and limitations Have a portfolio that showcases both strong interaction and prototyping proficiency with examples of concepting, UX/UI and your design thinking approach.
