the idea of “shared cultural experience” seems not possible with algorithms — unless very light parameters set. “small community” experience seems much more delightful — like Posts only
That’s very true… if we’ve learned anything from social media at scale it’s that algorithms appear to cause more harm than add value for users. I’m enjoying the small community aspect of Posts as well.
The whole Modern Social Media & Tech/Design revolution is nothing but new installment in continuation of Control Revolution as James Beniger talks in his seminal work. First they moved people spread across villages & towns to big Cities, then factories, Office and then SM!
