I’ll be teaching content design for career switchers and product designers, as well as some effective writing courses and one in information architecture. Any tips?

Going to be doing lots of learning design this summer with our local design and communication schools.

Any other learning designers here or folks into education?

Lesson learned: I taught them how to run when they're barely able to walk. Mostly because of their previous belief that writing ≠  thinking and designing ≠ writing.

Oh boy, one thing that prominently came to mind when I had to share my learning was to make sure reading and writing habits are already ingrained. I'm not sure if this applies to your cohort, but it's so basic that sometimes it gets overlooked.
