Harris County residents overwhelmingly approved a $2.5 billion bond for the Harris Health System at the November 2023 election. This investment is the catalyst for the $2.9 billion strategic plan for the construction and improvements of hospitals and clinics in Houston’s public healthcare system. Harris Health System is committed to contributing $300 million towards the plan. The Harris Health Strategic Fund is calling on Houston’s generous philanthropic community to raise the remaining through a $100 million campaign.Harris Health’s hospitals, clinics, doctors, nurses, and staff are a beacon of hope for hundreds of thousands of our neighbors in the Greater Houston region who lack health insurance or are under-insured.
