Every time i see a like button in an app i ask myself what is liking? (i know the UX teams at these companies have had this question too) When you see a sad post on Twitter and like the post does that mean you like what happened? Reactions are somewhat better

I find reactions just as confusing, if not more. Am I laughing with the post, or at it? Am I angry because of the post, or angry at the person who posted? I’m not sure reactions solve any of the ambiguity.

I read this reply every morning and I have no answer to it honestly just more questions
