I know lots of people hated The Verge redesign but I really liked it. And now with retrospect, adding a tweet-like storystream to the site seems genius.

All the weirdest eccentricities of a grotesk rolled into one. New subfamily from extraset with these big bold incisions that look awesome.

Building in public: small update but just added titles to the scrolling sections so they're a bit clearer

Been working on a widget-based app for the last couple weeks. It’s such an interesting medium to design for—you basically have the surface area of a postage stamp.

I’m redesigning/recoding my portfolio. Gonna try out building it in public. Here’s the header.

Having chatGPT as a tutor when you’re learning to code a new language/framework is so amazing.

Man Vercel is such a good hosting service. I wish there was something as good focused on hosting PHP projects.

does anyone have advice on transitioning from graphic design-based roles to product design? i have a few projects i've worked on & can show off, but it seems impossible to make the leap without existing connections/a foot in the door. any help is immensely appreciated!!!

Building in public: animated header and mouse interaction working now. Learned framer motion for this. Very powerful, really enjoying it.

Building in Public: Got distracted from this with work but back on portfolio site. Autoplay detection and mobile layout working now. 'scroll-snap-align: center' doing the heavy lifting.

Arc mobile feels a bit undercooked and hamstrung by Apple. Just the beginning though so I’m sure it’ll get better 😊 (I’m sure the desktop v01 wasn’t great either)

Spent today on optimizations. I'm happy with a 94 for a page with like 20 autoplaying videos haha. Amazing how many free performance wins you get out of the box with next and vercel.
