Sharing unorthodox learnings from my 5 years of experience as a designer: 

1. Be willing to do any work.
2. Think like a builder when it comes to designing experiences.
3. Ask a lot of questions.
4. Have 1:1's.
5. Document a lot.
6. Collaborate more, you aren't doing it enough.
