Yes, in particular I was in hospitality design for about 10 years so this is occupational hazard situations

I feel like that attention to detail (for better or for worse) doesn’t even have a design career as a prerequisite. I’ve just spent too much time on Dribbble and Pinterest

but I totally agree that it permeates everything– I even try and make my business schoolwork that requires no effortful design look really impressive

I want to take pictures and be mad aesthetic rn, but also digital safety is paramount. This hotel is giving everything but art localization and I am incensed with rage.

Yo it’s wild how being a designer permeates every facet of life, even if you’re retired from a vertical of the craft. 

I can’t stay in a hotel without judging every single inch of guest room, common, and F&B spaces. Which is why I airbnb’d for so long, but I’m back
