Thanks! Haven't tried it yet, but sounds interesting. 

You might want to add an extra step for menu invocation to avoid clashing with system-level menus and actions. For standalone, yeah, it's a good idea to show the menu immediately.

Very nice. Have you used the gesture menus on Alias? What I liked most about about that interaction was that did not have to wait for the menu to appear before making the gesture. It is scalable between beginners and advanced users.
