as cool as it is. it feels out of place imo. I suspect it’s to help introduce the capabilities, while later removing it for something simpler. feels a bit gimmicky for Apple.

Apple's new 3D interface for the action button in the iPhone's Settings app 👀
Over the past two years, Apple has been gradually reintroducing 3D elements like the 3D Big Sur icons, Handwashing UI, and VisionOS. While these elements may seem out of place on the iOS settings app, they bring more depth to the UI, which I find refreshing.
I appreciate that thought. good call out of other elements they are changing, most of which I’ve throughly welcomed. (Wasn’t a fan of super duper flat iOS 7) maybe this interaction feels too fast forwarding lol. jumped the gun. idk.
Well, it definitely doesn’t feel unified at the moment, almost like one team has the wild card to go super wacky while the other team has to obey the HIG. Let’s see where this goes 😄
