I did but I actually didn’t try orange on dark. I went more for white on orange instead

I like #3, though I would tighten up the line spacing a bit.

Did you try a dark background? Inverting colors would make orange more focused. If the frame is also a part of the design, more space for the bottom, and left, would be better.

#2 - the weight carries more prominence against the white.

I'm finally down to the final 3 cover art options for my audio project. I am trying to play around with weights on color. 

Currently leaning towards Option 3.

Any feedback ?
