Pieces of software I'd never use given the choice, Microsoft Teams, Miro, anything Adobe

I don't know if it's because I'm a designer and don't normally code but there's something very satisfying about building something, whether it's html, WordPress, Shopify or whatever and seeing it live absolutely pixel perfect

My favourite bit of WWDC was seeing previews of new seasons of Severence, Silo and Slow Horses for AppleTV+

Finished Scavenger's Reign last night, it has everything, outstanding. The level of detail, creativity and polish across the entire season is another level, the sound design is as good if not better than the visuals, loved it.

Dune Part 2 is one of the best films I think I've ever seen. Denis Villeneuve is on a great run of producing some excellent cinema, everything from the aesthetics to the sound, spot on

Really trying to bring my new portfolio to life. I’m revisiting old projects and animating the UI, feels very satisfying - just wish I had the time to do level of interaction when originally working on the project

Designing for fun, remember that? FreeAgent is a piece of accounting software I’ve used for years, wanted to give their homepage and dashboard UI some love

Thought Alien Romulus perfectly captured that classic Alien aesthetic, enjoyed the subtle and not so subtle throwbacks to the originals… not so much the Prometheus or Alien Resurrection references 

The last 10 minutes took that film from a solid 8 to a 5 or 6, shame

Have to use a new piece of software for my football coaching, it's dodgy, checked them out on LinkedIn, hundreds of employees - zero designers.

Figma Slides is the app we never knew we needed. 

Being able to design pitch decks with on brand assets straight from Figma is a game changer. I've designed a few presentations in Figma before as clickable prototypes but this is just so much better.

Smartphones killed the evolution of tech, nothing feels new or exciting anymore, things that would’ve been some cool hardware years ago are just apps now
