No tips sorry, but super curious how long it takes you to get it set up. Every time I’ve tried I get overwhelmed lol

Omg I’m the same so I hope not too long 😬

So I was a little inspired and set up “Downtime” in the morning and night which was relatively quick. How’s your journey going?

I set up a day (work) mode and evening mode to start! I haven’t configured the notifications a ton bc I did get overwhelmed lol but decided to take an as it comes approach, so I’ll adjust as the noties come in that I do/don’t want. Not too bad!

@ptpells might be able to help

what @eim shared above resonates with me… the “enduring” use case for me has been using focus modes to remind myself of an intention im trying to embody/live into

and actually, one of the parts of the experience I’ve enjoyed most is the create flow…setting the name for the mode, the color, the wallpaper etc…all little opportunities to clarify and reinforce what I’m wanting the mode to come to mean/signify

This!! Something about using a focus to change my digital surrounding stimulates it to get into whatever mode the focus is for I have a morning (yellow sunrise icon, happy wallpaper, light mode) and a night focus (dark sundown icon, nighttime theme wallpaper, dark mode)

Ohh yes thank you both! Love the intention setting, I haven’t thought about explicitly theming in this way. I’ve been thinking about what I want out of each and I know I’m going to love the process of choosing my set ups/wallpapers/etc. Will be taking a first stab tomorrow!

No tips, but be cognizant because if you just turn them on outside of a schedule or turn it on from your MBP it’ll also go on your phone and they’ll stay on. Sleep is the only one I trust.

Fwiw, I turned OFF the cross device sync for this exact reason

Ohh didn’t know you could unsync! 100% going to do this

I started off with just a few simple ones, Sleep, and what I call "Dead Silence" (very literally no notifications. From there it's just been trial and error finding things that I actually need one for

Yeah I’m hoping to just have two or three! I know I’ll be a lost cause for keeping up otherwise haha

I’m struggling just with Sleep and Normal tbh 🙈
