What do you think about it?

I've been digging the design since before the new domain — and I'm wondering if you're considering federating w/ Mastodon via ActivityPub or Bluesky via AT protocol? And regardless, what you're thinking about any or none of those options. ;)

I think we're happy to adopt a protocol once/if there's a clear winner/consumer demand for it. It's a bit of a wild west right now, so happy to sit back and focus on building stuff for our community while things shake out.

Please don't make the mistake to follow the "Federation" train. Non-Tech people is the vast majority of whom want to find an alternative to Twitter and have City Café (as you said) is to have a single place, centralized, with no confusion. Thanks!

There won't be a "single place, centralized, with no confusion" ever again. That era is over.

I like the design, I think better than others (where we are together :D) the only thing I miss is to discover who the others are following.
