i’ve been learning how to make beats, wyt? on.soundcloud.com/xxPDkpiyD2r6UT… on.soundcloud.com/stjNedtzkvQ89p…
It sounds great 😊 Obviously there’s still room for improvement, but I’d encourage you to take what you currently have and try to arrange it into something longer. That way you’ll get an idea of how it all fits together and what’s still missing for s full song 😉 Good job 👏
I don't have much specifically for Garageband, but the concepts should be the same across any DAW. I'll post some Youtube channels I follow, maybe it helps you out 😊
Ivan is a great teacher and his song breakdowns will give you insight into how the songs are made and which sounds and effects you'll need to create a sound you want: youtube.com/@BeatAcademy
omg i literally used his tutorials to get me started LOL thanks i guess this is the move
Also don't be discouraged regarding all of the (expensive) plugins...you don't need most as you start and I'd argue it's better to try to start without those, as you'll figure out and learn the DAW more, which will help you out later when you start adding plugins A LOT 😉
thank you!! plugins do seem fun but i figured starting with garageband is the move.. keepin it simple
Antony does videos from start to finish, but also how to mix and master and stuff you'll need after you've "finished" your songs: youtube.com/@SeedtoStage
Ethan has GREAT and inspiration videos for beginners. He's aslo a really great teacher and seems so kind in the way he's presenting the knowledge that I wasn't discouraged to go on in any way: youtube.com/@CompleteProdu…
I love to watch Kaelin's streams/videos of him just trying out stuff and making music. He's such a funny character and the tunes he comes up with are great: youtube.com/@kaelinellis
These are basically what I follow, but there's a TON more on Youtube. Each of the channel will also try to sell you on a course, which could be useful to some but I managed to learn most of the stuff for free tbh.
