I limit my intimacy with people who are rigid, upright or take themselves or life too seriously. Humor. Laughter and levity is one of my main love language so I usually don’t become close to people who can’t take a joke or laugh at themselves.

I read a list of Oscar Grant’s 21 goals, posted by his mother. His goals included loving his family more, spending more time with loved ones, to show gratitude to those who helped him, being able to accept when he is wrong, and to not be as preoccupied with material things.

You don't have to monetize your art. There is a pressure to take commissions, try to build a platform, get an audience, but it literally doesn't matter. Do art because you love it first, and if monetizing stresses you out beyond it being worth it, you can just not do it.

One of my biggest regrets is forgetting how to speak Japanese. Absolutely loved and miss living in Chiba, Japan. Hope life takes me back there soon. 🤍

Question regarding Webflow: if I purchase an already made theme, is it like Wix, or Weebly where it opens up to me immediately being able to edit it, or do I have to buy a hosting site and embed the code. Kind of confused

I think it’s really useful to, every so often, reflect on the work we’re trying to have our work do. As Nina Simone said, “I have to constantly re-identify myself to myself, reactivate my own standards, my own convictions about what I’m doing and why.”
