Those who have installed engineered hardwood flooring yourself (or perhaps any hard floor, to replace carpet or otherwise) — worth it?

Worth installing it or with DIY’ing it?

If you have the tools / skills then yes, it’s really straight forward. Floating super easy. Glue down take your time, it can be messy. Just floors or stairs too?

I’d dig doing the the stairs (it’s a 3-story townhouse). The hardest part has been trying to find an engineered hardwood plank (that’s floatable/locking) that has matching stair pieces or else figuring out how to make stair boards that match the flooring planks.

Exactly why I asked 😅. Finding planks and matching nosing is hard!
