thought a lot about this before but have no means to experiment with the ideas :P sound dampening booths/furnishing or these directional audio domes would be lovely respite from the noisy high traffic areas: https://www.browninnovations.com/sound-dome-directional-speakers

Two and a half hours into an undefined wait period as our plane gets fixed at ORD… meditative playlists are saving me rn. I wonder if there’s been experimentation in persuasive environmental sound design in high traffic-but-slow-movement places like airports?
