I signed an offer yesterday for a new role 🥳. They say you can’t truly feel secure with if it’s certain or not until you get your first paycheque these days (yikes)! But if all goes well, time to get back to work in late August. 🙂

I'm actually also starting a new job in a few weeks, would love to hear about your expectations and your plans for when you start at your new work!

Thanks Maggie! Congrats to you as well on starting a new job in a few weeks. Expectations and plans? Well.. I'm feeling a little anxious honestly since I was laid off from my last job (ofc I know it's not a personal fault), but my mindset is to take it day by day.

I generally: immerse myself in the subject matter / company products, get to know people, build out a 30-60-90 day plan in collaboration with my manager and cross functional peers.

I have this bookmarked too! That's what I'm planning to do in the free week I'll have before starting on the new job! 🤩

What about for yourself? How do you typically get yourself situated in a new role? 🙂

This is my first time changing jobs since I joined my current company as a Junior. At that time, I didn't realize I could plan strategically for this moment, so I just went with the flow. 😅

For this time, I'm thinking about using something from Vitaly's post, draw a 30-60-90 days plan during my spare week before starting. I'm joining a small team, so maybe I'll build some useful templates to share with the team when I join in, but I don't know if it's too much
