Some directors want a Loom, some a full out slide deck + walk through, others want to scroll in the file.

The tricky part is when you're presenting to people with different preferences at once.

Being (over) prepared can sometimes fight off being caught off guard and anxious.

The motion, transitions, gradients and blurs are all amazing but are nothing without clear copy, white space, taste and intention.

All give great results, the simplicity, storytelling, white space and well thought out solutions and clear copy continues to be the foundation no matter the tool.

One thing that got me was when a meeting popped up and I wasn't ready. Never again. Keeping the decks updated and looking for the meeting agenda 👀

Building, launching, revising and relaunching going from good to great is better than the endless practice of procrastination and pursuit of perfection.

Creative is clutch in your design yet clear copy is key.

Putting together a strong product page or presentation stresses the need for carefully written words. If pixels are your specialty and words not so much, Relume Ipsum could be a helpful tool.

Big exhales were part of my design process while working on iPhone websites.

Not while taking notes during the brief. Not asking questions to clarify deliverables. Not even when designing the sites. The big exhale would come after presenting the work.

I learned quickly at Apple that just as much time spent in design software is spent in Notes and Keynote between feedback and presentation preparation.

It takes taste, experience and discernment to prioritize your workload. Sometimes push back and placing certain projects and deliverables on the back burner is the only way to make impactful progress.

Three lessons Apple designers taught me that transformed my project sprint approach:

1. Understand the brief, solve the problem thats been asked, push the limits.

2. Maintain accountability. Due dates and deliverables must be met.

3. Study, use and improve whats worked before.

Motion is becoming much easier and fun with Jitter.

Keeping clean, creative files, and showing them with clarity is key.
