read fiction. it’s fun.
From the stuff I read this year (45 books 🤍) I loved Octavia Butler’s “earthseed” books, “Sharp objects” by Gillian Flynn, “the other valley”, “the orchard” by David Hopen and “Bunny” by Mona Awad. Also “writers&lovers” by Lily King (surprisingly good actually)
I’ve been thinking about re-reading Dorian Gray, I haven’t read that since high school. Such a masterpiece. I used to love Murakami also, I read soooo many of his novels! You might like Banana Yoshimoto’s stuff if you’re into Japanese magical realism ✨
do you have good reads? 👀 id love to check it out! what genres do you most like to read? also, 45 books is such a flex, i love it. congrats! 👏👏 I would highly recommend Dorian gray just because of the quotes… I loved Oscar wilde’s writing
I do! Here it is: goodreads.com/user/show/1144… (I also use storygraph in fact I’m trying to fully switch over.. in case you’re also there) I like a lot of different genres, lately been reading a lot of eco fiction / post-apocalyptic sci-fi.
Also thank you 🥰 it feels like an achievement even though I’ve always been an avid reader & book lover. Yeah I’d love to re-read Dorian Gray as an adult, I feel like it would hit differently! Maybe in 2025 ❤️
