Go easy when interviewing a candidate. A lot of qualified candidates are still unemployed due to massive layoffs. Some may be unemployed for more than 6 months to a year and probably more.
Companies in tech should be verified (somehow) before hiring a candidate. The verification process should indicate 1 year of approved budget per candidate. That way, we can secure our jobs for at least one year.
My first conference of 2024 and most importantly breaking the mold. If you’d ask me a few years ago if I would attend these types of conferences I’d say no. Being behind my monitor and designing away is my superpower.
