If you haven’t already, make sure to disable AI training in Figma. Why, you ask? Generative AI has repeatedly been shown to reproduce what it was trained on, and even without an NDA, publishing designs via Figma AI before your customer’s implement them is a very bad idea.

I hate NDAs. Designers have to be silent for most of their tenure at a company. When they leave, they have to sneak their work out for their portfolio or they’ll have nothing to show employers. 

We get hired based on what we make, but we can’t talk about or show what we make.

I tried everything but pulling the Figjam needle off the record at first. Very anticlimactic.
