Nice use case as well. I use an iPad with the Magic Keyboard for that, but your set-up is much cooler.

Btw. can it still run current software? e.g. iA Writer?

Yeah, sooo for what I've read, iA was for Snow Leopard but this Mac can't get past Leopard. I need to do more research but my best bet is either TextEdit or https://bean-osx.com/Bean.html

Yeah! Leopard was not officialy supported in this model but there is a trick. Also there is some cool projects for this Mac that allow you to run newer software https://apple.fandom.com/wiki/Sorbet_Leopard

At that time TextEdit was very similar to iA Writer 😄

I'm going to format it and install Sorbet Leopard (A custom OS) that allows for browsing the web and running newer apps.

What a machine! Awesome buy!
