A thought that's been on my mind for years now — we are increasingly losing the soul in our design work. There are so many “rules” that guide us, but ultimately make us create the same stuff over and over again. I believe we can and should challenge these rules. They are made-up.

I took a break from my day job for a month. It has been on my mind for a while, as I wanted to give myself a 'demo-version' of being fully independent to tackle personal projects and live life on my own terms. I'm curious to see what it brings.

It's my first day of the 'independent work month'. The initial result is that my brain is fighting me and has a hard time concentrating. 🥊

Damn, I hate bureaucracy. It takes one thing to ruin the whole day. Anyone else who is also losing their balance over stuff like this?

The basics are now there. Even though it might look "ready", there's still a long way to go. But it's a nice journey, so I am not complaining. 😃
