Maybe you can use AI to make suggestions for prompts

You can! And that’s what I’ve started embracing more, explaining some context about what I want but also asking ChatGPT to ask me questions about the request. I’ve found it often points out perspectives or steps I may have overlooked and delivers a more useful and unique output.

One thing that I’ve found working very well for me is asking GPT to “expose its graded parameters so I could fine tune its output”. An example parameter it gave me is “Tone: Casual 1 - 2 - [3] - 4 - 5 Formal” (the prompt is about writing as you can guess)

That sounds very useful, thanks for sharing the tip! Definitely taking note to try it next time.

We need better prompting tools that help the user achieve the end result faster. Prompting is great but oftentimes feels like a wonder box (black box) as you never know what it actually will take to achieve X.

Dreaming of a supportive user interface that helps the user with feedback while writing the prompt and guides them through countless styles and options.

Kind of like an old-school travel assistant would do 🌴 Are there any devs or designers that would like to explore this with me?
