The smart ones. Odd how little support that title gets. Every other buzzword title has gained traction in tech except for design engineer.

Which companies hire design engineers? 🤔
I think it’s an intimidation / process problem with so many companies. They have methodical design -> dev handoff processes run by PM’s who don’t want to rethink the cadence and someone who can work on both sides of the fence is just too different
Yahoo! is building a new dedicated design engineering team :) But I’ve also worked as a Design Engineer at Instagram and Snapchat. I worked in a similar function (but with a software engineer title) at Spotify as well.
