Figma components are far too flexible. It’s constantly causing us problems that designers can take a component, change almost everything about it (spacing, fills, border radius, etc) and it still being connected to the same component 😤

Let’s try this using the new videos: a case study thread of the landing page I designed/built for @metafydesign last week.

I learned lots of new stuff like using sound in UI, adding full keyboard navigation, and wrote loads of custom JavaScript for Webflow (never again)

My partner and I spent our Saturday morning building this LEGO set I brought back from my trip in Copenhagen 🦜♥️

To keep the quality of our content consistent, we’re experimenting with using AI to generate images for articles written on our platform based on title, game, and description.

Pretty stoked on how this first experiment turned out!

My favourite Adobe Xd was always the repeat grid. Figma needs to add that, with components, and the ability to choose how many times you can repeat it
