Experimenting with coloring my clay body. This will likely fire darker. Excited to see how it will turn out!
Mason stain! It sure is a mess to work with especially trying to keep it separate from my white porcelain in a tiny home studio.
So cool though, I dabbled with some colors like this for slip casting but never fully stained the clay body—let us know how it ends up!
Can’t wait to see it fired! Right now it looks awesome, somehow I’d expect it to fire lighter though?
The shade comes from how much strain you mix in but usually always get darker and more saturated after the final firing. I’m nervous this might actually go too dark.
