I wonder if anyone wants to monetize everything. Hinting towards a subscription on Twitter or selling me a pdf of a collection of tips probably generated by chatGPT. Isn't the dopamine people get from likes enough gratitude why does every creator want to make even more money?
Seems like the inevitable result of "hustle culture", imo. How long have people been told they should have a side gig alongside their "real" job? Personally I don't have the energy lol
Are there not any short or long-term symptoms that people get. We all know how burnouts are all so real, and this trend from Companies enabling (making money) of turning everyone into creators might not actually be healthy as a lifestyle.
Not sure if there's any prominent design industry examples but I feel like I've seen this in Youtubers who will either take sabbaticals or stop creating videos altogether because it's unsustainable longer-term
I think creators of all kinds will have some kind of reckoning once AI really kicks in and there's endless amounts of garbage content being churned out
