I created an installation of my “studio” inside a gallery space as a way to connect with students. I invite them to sit down and leave me a voice message on the phone or on a “While You Were Out” pink slip. (Also, not my desk, I WISH!)

can you share a little of your journey 
or point to good recent journey stories of ppl making it into software full-time? 

while I mostly help designers, I do get asked about engineering sometimes

Interviewer: So, where do you see yourself in ~5 years?

Me: Hmm.. Let's see. The year is 2028. The climate crisis has accelerated. Large portions of the US are uninhabitable. Citizens are allotted two hours of "outside time" due to extreme heat— 

Interviewer: .....

My 18 year old nephew was excited to learn more about photography, so I dug out my old film camera and we loaded it up with some experimental film. My god, I’m reconverted

I gave the closing keynote at the first #Config in 2020

i hand drew a poster for our show at the legendary 924 gilman on sunday night. had a blast keeping with the aesthetic tradition of this historic punk venue and blending it with other latinx cultural elements. bonus: it’s photocopy friendly
