I don't think you should apologize tbh.. The idea that we can put aside everything "political" in a box and put it away in a drawer somewhere is nonsensical.
True. But ‘I disagree’ or ‘I agree’ would suffice. Instead there’s a ‘hey, let me convince you’ which, we all know, is the gateway to Godwin’s law. :)
I wish life was as simple as agreeing and disagreeing on inconsequential topics like button raidii but it's not, at least not for everyone. Luckily there's always the mute button
