Yeah I just go with designer these days. I have thought about things like "Product Architect" but its a bit too much for me.

I'm thinking what title match what I actually do. My current title is Product Designer but I do more Brand Design lately (marketing website) My favorite part of work is Visual Design, embracing the brand essence to product.

How about these?
Product Art Director
Visual Designer

If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know!

You could do a combo title like "Product and Brand Designer" but ultimately when it comes to a job you apply for, you might be forced to "pick a lane". 

There are jobs that ~want it all~ but sometimes means actually doing the job of 3 people lol

Yeah, how I want to present myself is a good perspective! The fact current job market is totally split Product and Brand design but I honestly want to do and can do both. So I feel "Brand Designer" isn’t good enough or lacks my strength.

I think if you’re looking for a specific type of role then being specific is good too!

Do you recommend having just 'designer' as a title in your portfolio for someone like me, who is a junior designer?

That I can understand because I've been a product designer forever but I studied graphic design. Unfortunately people lack imagination when it comes to hiring for these roles.. (c)

I ask myself this everyday I and I have no idea what I call myself. I just go with generalist.

I don't have a good answer to this but I would think about it in terms of how you want to present/market yourself.. Is there a reason why "Brand Designer" wouldn't suffice?
