Hey all! I’m Nikhil, UX manager at Workato, building out the Platform design and design systems teams. Been here since 2018 when I joined as the second full-time designer. I get really excited about Design systems, interaction design and motion design!
Same here, I’ve been on the system side for both product and brand and could talk about this stuff for hours. How have you seen the design system grow through your tenure there?
Nice! Yeah I caught a bit of your work over on Design Twitter. When I started we had a 1-page style guide. Now we’re a larger team (5 product designers), and have a mostly complete Ui kit (with barely any docs), and it’s partially code-synced. Long way to go 😅
Haha it’s always a journey. That’s cool though that you have that many designers on it. I’ve always been a sole effort for the ones I’ve worked on. So it’s good that some companies do staff it out.
Oh haha no no, we’re 5 designers on the design team total. Just me and one other designer on the design system 😅
Before UX, I worked in Animation for TV (Dragons, TMNT). Dad to 1 👶 and 1 🐶! In my (little) free time, I snowboard, nerd out on comics, tv, and anime, and get inspired here! Excited to connect with y’all!
