do u actively try to increase your IQ? i feel like i hvnt gotten much smarter after school, in terms of raw intelligence / brain capability. school felt like i was getting 10% smarter year-on-year. and then just stopped.
Not really, I'm not too concerned with being smart or appearing that way. I just kinda do what I want/like and vibe with it School was definitely easier than uni is, but that's kind of the point. Uni is generally more difficult, so its gonna take longer to pick things up
yk interestingly, few of my friends and I at UCL CS, all v capable, top of the class, lots of stuff going on — felt the course for 1st+2nd yr was NOT challenging/engaging enough and all of spent a huge portion of our time chasing stimulation elsewhere. our fault tho.
Maybe theoretical physics is just a really hard course lol. I kinda struggled through 1st and 2nd year, hopefully 3rd year goes better. I did also spend a lot of my time doing other things, probably shouldn't have done that, but I learned a lot anyway so I'm not complaining
HAHA me when talking to literally any other student (every major apart from phys and math is beneath me)
I heard from somewhere that you should strive to be 1% better today than you were yesterday. That's a fairly achievable goal for most people, and over time it builds up to be a lot. Basically just been following that since I heard it
