I like it. Similar to what Ive called “interstitial journaling” but a lot clearer. 🤔 something about it felt inviting

> interstitial journaling mmm! can you please say more? what does this currently mean/look like for you? and “inviting” - yay, ok ^ _ ^

The method is to pause between actions, or whenever you get interrupted, and write down 3 things: - when it happened - what you were doing that you are now interrupting. - what you will do next. I realise it’s not the same. But it might be similar in effect

Resonates a lot. This is actually something I am actively exploring myself. Namely, I look for ways to “drop” notes. And then to organise them in this “journal” way.

Ooo. can you say a bit more about the practice you’re referring to? how did it come to be? asked another way: what change are you hopeful this practice might cause? and im happy to know the language resonates ^ _ ^

It's memorable! To me “Drop” Journal makes me think that this is an app where I'm supposed to just drop a thought without thinking about it much. Like “drop your thoughts in here!”

“memorable” !!! do you have a sense for what might be contributing to the idea standing out? e.g might it bring language to something you’ve thought/felt before? might it be causing you to reconsider something you’d assumed? (also: totally cool to let these questions go)

Reminds of noting technique I learned first from Headspace: m.youtube.com/watch?v=FjI9v-…

Headspace | Meditation | The Noting technique
Noting is one of eight techniques used within the Headspace app to help you train your mind. Rather than trying to create calm by stamping out thoughts or fe...

oh, yes! both seem to center similarly-sized fleeting thoughts and feelings …and wow, i’d lost touch with how calming the narrator’s voice is (and headspace more broadly). thank you for bringing me back to this, @paddel
